👋 dtrudg

Hello, I'm David (or Dave) Trudgian. I'm a software engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, and 15+ years experience across academia and industry in both the UK and USA. My career has spanned machine learning, bioinformatics, high performance computing, container runtimes, and confidential computing. I enjoy developing pragmatic solutions to difficult problems, and working with a diverse range of collaborators and customers, especially in scientific and technical fields.

I currently work for Sylabs where I am maintainer of the SingularityCE open source container runtime, and oversee SingularityPRO - a commercial long-term supported version.
