Hi, I'm Koudai Aono, an OSS maintainer based in Tokyo.

I build and maintain developer tools, especially for Python teams. My projects include datamodel-code-generator, fastapi-code-generator, and PyCharm plugins for Pydantic, Ruff, and Poetry. datamodel-code-generator gets 12M+ downloads per month on PyPI, the Poetry plugin shipped as a built-in feature in PyCharm 2021.3, and I co-authored PEP 750, which adds template strings (t-strings) to Python 3.14.

Most of the work behind these projects is ongoing maintenance: compatibility updates, release engineering, documentation, issue triage, reviewing contributions, and handling edge cases as libraries and specifications evolve.
